| 516859 | 2007-01-17 09:36:00 | I've landed some sort of hijacking address bar called asecurityissue dot com and a programme called System Alert which has helped itself to my laptop. It seems to be like a limpet and I've tried Spybot/Adware but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered these? if so, how can I rid these? Any suggestions appreciated thanks in advance. | 516860 | 2007-01-17 09:48:00 | Download and run Hijackthis. You will get a text log that you can post back here which experienced members can then advise you on what to do. HighjackThis (www.majorgeeks.com) As you can see from my edit comments in your post, I have removed the clickable link you gave to the website in question. Talk about dodgy website. Do not visit unless you have good security. It told me my \Windows\System32 - \Program Files\Internet Explorer - \My Documents - Drive C:\ files and my OS were vunerable right now from attack. Strange that seeing I run Linux and not Windows ... |
