2007-01-17 07:54:00 | hey again. just been reading some stuff about forum users here using Xnet. few questions. ive noticed the pricing is pretty good...for 20gb FLS Down 128k Up it will be 54$ which is only 4 bux more than im paying now. but can someone guarentee or just state that the speeds on xnet are actually worth while 2mb+, and im not going to get screwed around like on Go large. because personally i use about 20-25gb a month, so that should be sufficient. thanks

2007-01-17 08:22:00 | problem there is, you have to pay 10$ additional for tolls . we quite like telecom for tolling . thanks anyways :)

2007-01-17 09:13:00 | i started out with XNET, they were damn good. But over time got lazy and turned to ****e after you had been giving them money. i would reccomend you going for another ISP.

2007-01-17 09:14:00 | No body can guarantee anything to do with broadband, but I for one wouldn't change to anything else. One of the reasons is the tolls, the other is that it nearly always delivers what it says it will | supergran (108) | |

2007-01-17 12:41:00 | My ping is shocking compared to when I first joined Xnet. Bingo!! exactly what i mean. started out with 45 Ping, and that was when me AND my flatmate were gaming at the same time. then it slowly got worse, and would sky rocket to 700Ping, then go to the point when one of us could only game at one time. And that was with 3MB/512K

2007-01-17 14:35:00 | I had slingshot and the speed was slow and often get disconnected one of the reason was their outages and another thing was their email was down for a few days Playing games was laggy at a ping of 700. So i went to Xnet and had ping at around 150ish-220ish.Speed is excellent and I've recently changed to a MAX/MAX 50GB I must say I've been in NZ for so long its the firstime I've ever come across being handed to a technician to talk to within 20 seconds

We also need traces when the problem's happening so we can see where the latency is happening. We have seen a few people with the ping spiking problem and it took a while to get to the problem because it was somewhere between the end user and our network (Xnet), for the most part it was a RAN issue with a particular Telecom RAN that a lot of customers were going through so once identified we logged it with Telecom and they sorted it out. I've also seen it where there's a problem with the DSLAM especially at peak times when people are doing more traffic. |
