2007-01-18 20:13:00 | Hmm . . . where has winmacguy gone now? :rolleyes:Macvangelism Classes, it's a religion you see . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . They've all been called in for reprogramming since Steve Jobs was found fiddling with his options . Turns out he was from this planet all along, and had been hiding his (backdated) financial perversions under a stone just like normal people . They'll all be grovelling before the sacred i-con Lisa, or whatever Jobs is now selling as the fundamental truth stone, and praying for a merciful release . Could be he's going to end up an i-criminal, be prosecuted in i-court and end up in i-prison . That should wipe the gloss off Apple shares and see the macvangelists throwing themselves off the cliffs like i-lemmings . They've only just got over the shock of finding out that Bill Gates owns a sizeable lump of Apple and is directing operations via a PC . Then there was the conversion to Intel! Next step Vista? I predict mass suicides . Cheers Billy 8-{) :D

2007-01-19 19:25:00 | Microsoft kindly rebooted my PC this morning after installing yet more critical updates. Otherwise all my PC's stay on all the time because I always forget to turn them off anyway. Six of one and half a dozen of the other I'd say in terms of which is a better approach - experts seem to argue over this one. | Twelvevolts (5457) | |
2007-01-21 09:26:00 | I recently (last year december) built a POS spare machine running win 2k. Since being put together, I think I have restarted it approx 10 times. Not bad considering it has no av, firewall, anti-this and that .... Though I did a call from my isp last week saying my ip had been port scanning some server in Denmark :illogical ... might have to throw Nod on here The linux machine (ironically enough) has hardly been on, but thats about to change :)

2008-05-04 09:25:00 | I normally turn mine off, Mainly because it is housing 15cm neon, 4x lazer LED's and 3x 120mm UV lighting fans (to light case) Have fast enough boot times so it does'nt really bother me having to wait.. Also the fans are a bit noisey to sleep through =\

2008-05-04 11:31:00 | thread is over 15 months old! just use hibernate; saves ram to hard drive and turns off while saving exactly what you were doing. faster startup too as all the crap that launches at startup is already launched.
