(with PS/2 kbs). If u do turn the system/s off, use this option. It saves wear and tear on the power button on the front of the case, since you dont have to touch it to turn it on. And unless u press the power button (instead of shutting it down, within Windows), it'll never get touched. |

| 516911 | 2007-01-18 10:26:00 | i always hibernate, but for some reason you have to go into the power settings to enable it, then when ever you shut down " standbly sturn off restart" thing you hold shift and standby becomes hibernate.... why so complicated! hibernation means i can leave a game running/whatever i'm doing, turn the pc off for power/noise/light/heat reasons, and come back to it quickly and easily metla, why not just set your pc to automagically log on for you? i am also sick of mac, infact, all fanboys (including windows, xbox, nintendo, pokemon, sony, "pron", magic cards, all other trading cards, holden, ford, mini choppers, any american vehicle, vegetarians, feminists, tree huggers/hippies, stoners, runescape players, "you need sli 7950GTXs", amd, intel, nvidia, ati, - ALL fanboys) they really should think "does anyone want to hear about how mac doesnt have that issue that everyone else is trying to discuss, and does mac actually not have that issue or is it just me assuming that all windows based machines are loud/ugly/unstable and macs quiet/stylish/stable" before they post/speak /rant |

All that and shes virus free and I do zero maintenence....MONTHLY. i'm sure there's a thing where the pc automatically logs on making it good for people who can't be bothered and don't have to worry about someone else using the pc (ie. family pc, or not family/flatmates) infact i know there is, and you can get it to log in without any password too just by clicking the user icon w00t virus free here too, and mal/ad/spyware free too! stupid brother has had two reinstalls in as many months thanks to viruses, dunno how he did it the first time, but the second time he never actually installed any antivirus software, assuming i had done it despite my telling him he HAS to do it before anything else:groan: i've now had to call microsoft twice too many times to get windows reactivated - if they are just going to give me the number anyway, why bother activating at all?:annoyed: |

| 516915 | 2007-01-18 10:55:00 | Hummm, Virus Free just means you have not found anything yet. It does not mean that anything is not actually there and you are really free. I remember the good old days when viruses were just a myth. Nobody had them then either until something came along to actually find what was hiding. |

| 516917 | 2007-01-18 18:58:00 | Pretty sure my comp can't type in my password Yes it can... Tweak UI, there is a setting under logon (off all names!!) that allows you to type your password in the box (once) and automtically logon till you tell it not to. Hmm... where has winmacguy gone now? |
