516713 2007-01-18 04:51:00 If you have only three days to the deadline, stop playing with the computer.

Get the files put onto a CD and read them from that.

Fix this problem when you have time to spare. :D

516714 2007-01-18 05:26:00 Graham, I agree, but how do I get (some of) them off my ext HDD if I can't get into it becuase I keep getting blocked by the “Can not find script file F:\MS32DLL.dll.vbs" window???? AHHHHHGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH Aporosa (5671)
516715 2007-01-18 05:33:00 Try the info here (jarupol.spaces.live.com) Speedy Gonzales (78)
516716 2007-01-18 05:44:00 Speedy,

I rechecked the registry using the steps you gave, and again, there were no files of the name you gave: "MS32DLL" = "%Windir%\MS32DLL.dll.vbs" or "Window Title" = "Hacked by[REMOVED]" in there. So no, they were never deleted because they are not in there.

Im in Hamilton. If you think this is going to be a big one to sort, maybe I would be better to spend my time inputing the data that is on the Ext HDD...... what do you think?

516718 2007-01-18 06:24:00 Speedy,

Thanks, I got the link to the blog. I will go off line and follow the instructions.

As an aside, I use FireFox and not IE, so I hope that has not been the issue.

If you dnt hear from me, either I've killed my laptop physically or unintentially.

Cheers, Apo

516719 2007-01-18 06:26:00 I thought the data had been put in the external HD with a "mate's computer". Isn't there still a copy on that computer?

Another way to access the disk would be on a Linux system, or with a Live CD Linux.

516720 2007-01-18 07:08:00 Speedy Gonzales, YOU ARE THE MAN, OR WOMAN!!

Thank you SOOOO much, I am indebted. Funny, but half the steps they said to do in the blog came to a dead end, but who cares........ I'm up and running.

The only casualty is my FireFox, its now stopped working, but a very small price to pay, I'm just back to using slow old IE.

I don't drink beer, I drink kava, so if I could repay you, know that you would certainly be staggering away from my place.

Also, PRESS F1 is the beast!! Thanks.

And finally, thanks Graham L, you could have given up on me, and I do appreciate your input.

I'm a happy man!!! (DRINK MORE KAVA).......Cheers, Apo
