If you just moved places and also just got BB (or just switched ISP), they should of done all the work for you, maybe they have not done the connection for you yet? Maybe, you have not put the username and password in your modem/router? Edit. If you had the same BB co as before and you now changed addresses but kept the same phone number, I think they need to do installation at the local exchange. Wire pushing and pulling. If you just moved and AFTER signed up to BB they should of done all the work. Maybe they have not connected your lines yet? I assume your logins are correct. |

I would imagine that the ip adress for your comp would be phone line specific- dial up works from any line, or you may need to access the start page of your router and manually connect. Good luck. |

AFAIK for dialup that is fine but not for broadband. Generally pple who are with one ISP cannot go to their mate and go online (by redoing the settings or take bring their router). If you are with A ISP you can go to your mates but they also need to be with A ISP. If they are with B ISP (generally) it won't work. Also, Welcome to PC World  |

| 517753 | 2007-01-20 09:23:00 | You will have to tell Telecom that you have broadband and want it at you new house - though as Nomad said above, they should have done that automatically. Ring 123 and ask them whether they did it. | decibel (11645) | ||
