517671 2007-01-19 21:25:00 As of a few days ago, all my MS Office applications are taking an inordinately long time to load.
After I press the icon of (say) a Word document, there is an approximate seven second delay before MS Word loads and then a further five to six second delay before the document itself loads into Word.
I had this exact same problem happen a few weeks ago and I eventually solved it by running "Advanced Windows Care V2 Personal". Unfortunately this has not helped me this time around.
It's almost as if there is something blocking or filtering the program before it runs.
I have a relatively fast computer and prior to this happening, Word documents usually loaded in about one to two seconds.
I have tried a repair re-install of MS Office without any improvement.
I would be very grateful for any suggestions. Thank You.:(

I am quite meticulous about anti virus checks.
I run NOD 32 with a recent clean scan.
Also Webroot Spy Sweeper in the background all the time and recent clean scan.
Also recent clean scans with Ewido. Ad-aware SE Personal and Spybot S&D

I think what might of been meant by virus check, is my virus checker checks Word as it is opening. No idea what could be causing it though, as it most likely is the same as it was last week.

But, a big but, it before you open Word, check how many items are running in the Task manager, then open word, and see if it is only word that has loaded, not something else with it.

The reason I suggested that is, I had Word 2002 on this puter, then loaded Office 2000 minus word, and now mine opens msworks.exe as somehow when I was reinstalling Word 2002, works installed as well (on the same Cd bought with computer). Yes, I know, I should clean it up and I will get around to it one of these days.
