517538 2007-01-19 08:55:00 Hi

I'm trialling Office 2007 (120 day trial). In Outlook I can receive messages okay but whenever I reply to a message or send a new one I get the following error message on an undeliverable 'system administrator' message:
501 #5.1.1 bad address

The addresses I'm e-mailing are all okay so I can't figure it out.

Does anyone know?

Cheers

Paul

517542 2007-01-22 07:58:00 You should really see if you ISP has a newsgroups server, so u can check them out and post questions.

I've posted your ? in an Outlook newsgroup. I'll post any answers I get back here.

Does the person have their outgoing mail server setup correctly in their
mail account?

Any other suggestions?

517546 2008-02-13 08:08:00 I'm guessing you've found the problem and fixed it. I came across the same problem when I rebuilt my laptop. I beileve the cause of the error (for me at least) was installing McAfee Security Centre. When I saw the post above advising to check the outbound mail server set up I did just that and found the smtp settings had changed and now started with mail. instead of smtp. I changed it back to smtp. and what do you know it works just fine. Bazac (11797)
