| 518794 | 2007-01-24 05:03:00 | I have had similar problems recently and I think it is due to a flat CMOS battery. Every few days I will get the "Disk Error - Press any key to restart" message and I eventually traced it to the startup sequence in my BIOS having changed (as well as the sequence of my HDD's, so that my boot drive was no longer first in the list of HDD's. Correcting the order would get me in, but the same situation would recur a few days later. Eventually I got a clock error message which confirmed in my mind that it was the CMOS battery, though I haven't yet changed it. | Miami Steve (2128) | ||
