518634 2007-01-23 20:09:00 okay, firstly i wanna dual boot 98SE and XP Home. Is this possible? Secondly, How would you go about doing this.
Currently I'm running with Win2000 Pro and XP Home on the same drive but different partition. And I only use XP mainly.

518635 2007-01-23 20:22:00 You need to install the operating systems in the order of the oldest ones first. (98 -> 2000 -> xp)

Make sure you install them in separate partitions to they don't cause muck ups.

518636 2007-01-23 20:51:00 no you dont NEED to do that at all you can install any o/s in any order......so if for example you already have xp you can still install 98 AFTER it so that you wont have to format and start everything again which is probably impractical......iv'e done this several times and its not that hard you just need to use a partition program so that you have the partitions created that you need for the o/s's and then use a program such as 'bootUS' after the installation which will be your boot manager........ drcspy (146)
518637 2007-01-23 21:11:00 ok thanks for the tip. i have deleted Win2000 partition, and left that partition empty for 98. Now how do i stop xp from loading? ive changed the bios settings so that it will look for the 98SE cd, but it still loads the XP os. Rhals (10927)
