You can tick these entries O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [0102511169527942mcinstcleanup] C:\DOCUME~1\Kidz\LOCALS~1\Temp\010251~1.EXE C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\McAfee\INSTAL~1\cleanup.ini -cleanup -nolog It maybe Mcafees thats causing the prob. Then reboot. I would also install a firewall. Also unzip the hijackthis zip file before u run it. Run IE and reset it settings under the advanced tab. |

This is the family computer,I had to reformat,so maybe thats why the hjt is small? Umm HOW did u format?? Did u install XP over XP?? It sounds like u did this. If u formatted (did a clean install), it should have formatted and wiped Mcafees from the system. And the Mcafee's entries in the previous HJT shouldn't have been there. I take it, IE is still having probs, even after u ticked the Mcafee entries? |

That entry from Mcafee's shouldn't have been in the log you posted . |
