519012 2007-01-25 01:24:00 One of Parkinson's laws says that work expands to fill the available time. In the computer game, it has been known for a long time that data expand to more than fill the available storage media. Graham L (2)
519013 2007-01-25 01:28:00 Thanks heaps guys. I have found the culprit. I download TreeSize Free. I have SQL Server 2005 installed and one of the databases was constantly running and updating the log file for it. It had got up to 23.5GB!!! Detached the DB and deleted the file and hey presto, I have space again!!!

Again, many thanks.

519014 2007-01-25 01:36:00 Real operating systems schedule background tasks to manage log files. ;)

Even in Windows, I'm sure you could have a task which runs once a week to rename that logfile (say, to *.BAK, thus deleting the previous one, so you'll have a week's log available if needed).
