| 518925 | 2007-01-24 11:10:00 | i need some help i have spent many hours researching a replacement laptop for my aging NX9005 which to be fair has NEVER missed a beat and has done many miles and performed much... i am plkanning to be loyal and by another HP??? anyway the advice from the wise i would really really appreciate ..even after reading a few forums i am a bit confused , assuming the meory and the hard drive a re the same ( 512 and 60GB0 Needs 1024 i think but anyway ..would you go for core2 duo T5500 1.6 ghz or 1.8 ghz core duo T2400 and without a speech why would i chose one over the other?? the prices are the same as one includes a replicator which i need, further the memory on one is 667 vs 533. i think i may be answering my own questions....i though i read somewhere there wasnt much in core duo and core 2 for laptops... what diff doe s the 166 vs 1.83 give in reality when the FSB is the same any thoughs appreciated models are HP NC2400 RM741PA or RA741PA cheers and thanks in advance. |

| 518926 | 2007-01-24 13:21:00 | Core 2 Duo of course. Here is a progression: Single Core (Pentium etc.) -> Core Duo -> Core 2 Duo. Of course this is just for Intel but dont be confused by the higher Ghz rating on the Core Duo. Without a speech, Core 2 Duo is faster than Core Duo. Definitely go for the Core2 Duo T5500 1.6 Gzh. | beeswax34 (63) | ||
