518884 2007-01-24 07:07:00 Which is better, USB adaptor or PCMCIA card for wireless network?

Tried to set up a Dlink USB adaptor the other day, installed the driver from the CD but it won't be able to connect to the wireless router by using Windows wirelsss utility. Have to disable Windows from using this wirelss and use Dlink's own wireless utility manager to connect.

518885 2007-01-24 21:10:00 Well unless u have a laptop or a PCMCIA adapter for a desktop, u wont have PCMCIA.

They do the same thing, there wouldn't be any difference. Except PCMCIA is portable since its on a laptop.

Except one can be used on a laptop the other on desktop or laptop.

Only way to NOT use Windows Wireless Network Steup Wizard is don't run
it. Easy.

If the Dlink adaptor drivers let u configure the settings thru it, use that instead.
