| 519473 | 2007-01-27 02:09:00 | ok i have program which sends email and it says i need to put in an smtp server,so it put xtra's smtp server in with the port and my user name and password and it won't send because xtra blocked port 25. So does anyone know any free reliable smtp servers i could use? P.S Gmail's smtp server won't work cuz i've tried it. |

| 519475 | 2007-01-27 02:24:00 | Are you using an xtra internet connection? Xtra blocks access to smtp.xtra.co.nz from anywhere but its own network; if you are connected with another ISP you will need to use another server. If you are actually connected with an Xtra connection, make sure you haven't used a typo - it should be 'smtp.xtra.co.nz'. Finally, make sure that whatever firewall you are using allows your mail program to make outgoing connections to port 25. What is the exact error message you are getting? |
