519096 2007-01-25 04:57:00 I just installed Zonealarm on my computer and Dad's computer (which is the 'server'). However it is preventing all other computers from accessing the Internet. (It is currently disabled.) We don't know how to allow network traffic, can anyone :help:? TIA :badpc: pcuser42 (130)
519097 2007-01-25 05:10:00 If u mean the internet, the main PC has to have ICS enabled.

I'm pretty sure tho, you have to register ZA before u see the ICS option, so u can enable it.

Or can u get on the net, BUT u can't share each other's folder/s?

IE works, but Outlook Express doesn't.

519099 2007-01-25 06:49:00 Looks like I have to uninstall it, the free version does not support ICS. :( pcuser42 (130)

Which is what I said in the previous post. Altho if u can get on the net on the networked PC (since IE works), ZA (the ICS option) isn't the prob.

Try comodo (www.personalfirewall.comodo.com)

Thats if both PC's use Windows 2000 / XP +

Free, but u need to put an activation key in. Which will be emailed to you, once u select the option. Then it'll be free for life.

Once u install this right mouse / open on the taskbar. Then network monitor / tasks. Click on define a new trusted network / next , then select the network card then next again.

Uninstall ZA first tho. On both PC's.

Go to Firewall/Zones and then add the ip range of your network and also the router.
