it seem everyone is blaming telecom for this but not the goverment. who open its lines? who made them bring out this unleashed bull****. 3.5mb was good and 10gb cap is ****, but we can live with it unlike now.... uncapped but speed is shocking slow.. not just on go large but on pro or any other.. before unleashed i get max out of the 3.5 but now its slowing by the weeks.. now 2.8mb i'm 4km from the exchange.

:waughh: :waughh: really.. mid of this year other isp will install gears in exchange ok, good for big cities pretty much screwed for others. 90% users are screwed now i say by the end of this year 90% of users will still be screwed

we only have 400m people.. think think how many years will it take to get those millions they invested back? oh BT can do it why can't nz.. oh BT as 400*10 in population than us..

Coz Telecom are a bunch of tight*****. They like taking money, not spending it on something worthwhile, like BB. And it's telecom that didnt want to unbundle, which is why the Govt told them to.

And Telecom paid for for it

4m NOT 400m. NZ wouldn't handle 400m let alone 100 m.

And they get 4m (or maybe 2-3 million) everyone wouldn't have a phone, + x $42 or so for phone rental a mth, and more for mobile phones / XTRA. Why would they complain?

Oh BT can do it why can't nz.. oh BT has 400*10 in population than us..

Thats right, there's more people. Which make a diff.

519081 2007-01-25 04:28:00 I have been getting 1.5Mbit instead of my 1.97Mbit now :D A bit of empty phonecalls today, maybe Telecom is doing some work on them ... now we have some light hissing noises in the line.

Couldn't play youtube properly today, it was observable but it suttered. Only one computer was working then.

No....the government is to be praised. Why blame the government? All they had were good intentions to improve the disgusting state of NZ BB. Telecom, as Speedy Gonzales said, only think about how much money they'll have left. That's all there is to it. I'd love to talk about it more, but I can't. Because the thing is, that Telecom only wants to conserve their money. Even at the cost of pissed off New Zealanders.

Yeah, of course, that's always a possibility. Maybe even the fact.

400 million? No..... we actually have 4,200,000 people. 4.2 million. NZ BB can't even handle 2 million people, let alone 400 million.

What's BT?

519083 2007-01-25 08:44:00 What's BT?

British Telecom I think, in the UK.

Or this (www.bt.com)

No, it definitely is British Telecom. And of course more people does make a difference. Its just larger demand and any company that wants to make a money will rush in and supply except of course here in NZ.

519085 2007-01-25 09:43:00 sorry.. guys my misstake 4m or 400m.. what would nz be like with that many ppls. but isn't what business do make the money and give it to its shareholders. in shareholders view, why invest the money while it take years to return? less reurn to us(shareholders) so internet users like us get faster DL speeds AMD (11356)
519086 2007-01-25 09:56:00 The UK may have 60m people, but most of their BB customers are in the city's. So with 9m in greater London, they must be pretty congested @ the exchanges right?, but they aren't as bad as our 2m across the whole of NZ.....

Cant see why NZ Telecom cant sort it out?

Everyone would be squeezing in together so they won't fall into the sea. :p

But yeah, with 400 million people Telecom will definitely do something about the state of NZ BB dramatically. But that won't happen anytime soon.
