| 519288 | 2007-01-26 04:10:00 | Just make sure if u reinstall the wireless drivers, disable them after u reinstalll them. Or don't install the wireless drivers at all. (If u decide to use Ethernet instead). It'll just make things harder, if u try and configure the LAN and wireless. And u may get confused! You only need one, or the other. Also make sure you install the mobo drivers FIRST, before anything else once u have reformatted (a clean install). Don't install XP over XP. |

I'm with xtra and there's an electrical storm over Blenheim at the moment but maybe that's a coincidence. Just dropped out again so posting quick |

| 519293 | 2007-01-26 20:37:00 | Have a few discs to install,just double checking> 1st to install >> KM266/KM400 Motherboard cd As long as it says something like Motherboard inf driivers, or inf drivers, these are the mobo drivers . Then intel cd then ATI (Raedon)Cd or Then ATI cd then intel cd ? Whats on the Intel cd? If the mobo inf drivers are on this cd, use this cd first, then, the KM266/KM400 Motherboard cd, (this cd will have the LAN/Sound etc drivers, most probably), then the ATI cd (which I take it, has the videocard drivers on it)? Altho, if the ATI drivers on that CD are old, it may pay to get the updated ATI drivers from here (www . ati . com) If you know what kind of ATI videocard it is . (Is the videocard an ATI card)? Or is something else on the motherboard ATI? |

| 519295 | 2007-01-26 21:04:00 | Well u cant use both the KM266 CD, and the Intel cd . The KM266 is AMD isn't it? <-- Is this the mobo you're using now? As both by the looks of it, have soundcard drivers . You can't install 2 different kinds of soundcard / LAN / inf drivers on one motherboard . The Intel CD didn't come with this motherboard did it? Is the Intel CD for another motherboard?? I think it is . What comes up in the menu on the KM266 CD?? Inf/Sound/LAN? if these come up, thats all you need . USB 2 on the KM266 isn't needed, if u install XP SP2 (Thats if you're installing XP again) . |
