| 519267 | 2007-01-25 21:09:00 | I got the same modem router and it does not happen to me. What windows are you running? How is that bad computer connected up by, wireless or wire? The only issue I had with this error message is that with WinXP SP2, cross over cable does not work (static IP or dynamic IP), if you plug the router in it works immediately, if you go via wireless (with the router) its also fine. All my setup has been auto assigned IP. If the bad computer is going via wireless, its not in the restricted MAC address is it (in the router's setup)? |

| 519268 | 2007-01-25 21:10:00 | :stare: Well somehow you'll have to login as Admin. In Normal Windows. ok As safe mode only loads the basic stuff so u can actually get into Windows. ok And nothing will work in safe mode, including the LAN / network. Well it might if the Safe Mode / Networking option is selected. ok How many people use this PC you're on now?? 4 but this computer(kids 1 user) is ok,my computer(2 users) Whoever has Admin rights will have to login (if its password protected), so you can fix up the DHCP info)Assume your talking about my computer?. | 519269 | 2007-01-25 21:23:00 | Assume your talking about my computer? Well whatever computer is having the prob with this DHCP stuff. If there's 2 or 4 users on it, (the PC thats got the prob), you'll have to logoff then login again with whoever has Admin rights, before this DHCP prob can be fixed. |

Are both currently enabled?? If they are, disable the wireless. And if they're both enabled, are u sure you're looking at the right LAN properties?? And putting the right info in under the right connection? |
