| 519380 | 2007-01-26 07:31:00 | Hi guys How do you know when your DVD/CD writer is b*ggered - is there any way to test it electronically? Tried to burn a few files onto a CD and it says "drive XXX not found", XXX being the writer drive. Tried it with a few burning programs, including Nero, same result sarel |

| 519384 | 2007-01-26 18:49:00 | Umm what other burning programs did u try?? And what versions of Nero, were installed on the 2 PC's?? Were they OEM versions (Are they different burners)? - The 2nd PC you tried the burner on, did it have a burner already and a version of Nero on it? If they were, if the burner didn't come with that version of Nero, it/they wont work. And did u make sure (if ones a DVD and the other is a CD writer), that their jumpers were jumpered correctly, before u installed them? And did it appear in the BIOS / on the post screen (the burner you think is dead)? |
