519181 2007-01-25 08:29:00 Hi I have just bought a 'Seagate Barracuda 250GB IDE 7200RPM Hard Drive'. I need a hand installing it. I want it to be the slave drive. I just want to know how to set the jumper to make it a slave drive. I have installed Harddrives before but They have pictures on the Drive to show where to put the jumper depending on weather you want a Master or Slave. but the I don't understand the diagram on this drive. does any one know which one I need to put it on. Thanks stevensaaron (6348)

Do you need to format it? Does it appear in your disk manager in the computer management console?

Look for the entry for that hdd / right mouse / format it / partition it whatever.
