1411090 2015-11-09 21:50:00 Unfortunately that only removes it for now. When I boot up it comes back again. I want to stop this happening. PJ Poppa John (284)
1411091 2015-11-10 00:11:00 Seems like a difficult one - here's one way tho

1 Open regedit.exe and navigate to: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options
2 Create a folder (key) called Narrator.exe
3 Inside the key, create a new String value called Debugger, and set its value to %1
4 Close registry editor

From now on, every time Windows will attempt to execute Narrator.exe, nothing will happen...

If you want Narrator back, just remove the Narrator.exe registry key.

1411092 2015-11-10 03:55:00 Thanks but that is too complicated for me. I will have to live with it. PJ Poppa John (284)
1411093 2015-11-10 06:57:00 Try this:

Turn off Narrator

To open Narrator click the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then, in the search box, type Narrator. In the list of results, click Narrator.

Click Control whether Narrator starts when I log on.

Clear the Turn on Narrator and Turn on Audio Description check boxes and click Apply
