In other words to much like hard work to keep them, so sell them and pass the buck to someone else, and get a payment for doing so. Then they will say look we made huge savings, again screwing the people, but hey, the bottom line looks better. |

| 1403859 | 2015-06-29 07:01:00 | In the 1930s the first Labour government got stuck in and built the houses, and Micky Savage helped carry the furniture into the first one let. This lot haven't a clue what to do, so they will sell what's left and hope someone else will solve the problem. Key & English might even get their surplus out of the deal. I think it's time to oil up my AK-47. |

My advice to state house tenants dont do drugs, get tattoos, dont smoke, dont give church donations, dont gamble a cent, dont drink, dont own cars, dont have anymore than 2 kids, dont live on fizzy drinks, chips and takeaways. | prefect (6291) | ||

All true Pre, but alas I would to prefer to see them in council house than on the streets. |

You have a perception to fit your agenda. I know a lady who had a state house. She was a solo mum, 3 kids. She worked all her life for the Post Office, she was one of those operators at first, plugging people in to their calls, then did some other stuff later. She got offered the house eventually - as they did back then. So she bought it. It took a long time but eventually she renovated it a bit and now she is in her early '70s still lives in it. One of her daughters developed a disability and also still lives there. She did not smoke, drink, gamble, belong to any church, or eat takeaways. She didn't have a car either but later her daughters living there did. She was maori. |
