2015-06-24 19:51:00 | Could somebody with a direct line to Key & Co get him to remove his "Global Warming Carbon Tax" before we all freeze to death? HERE (www.stuff.co.nz)

2015-06-24 21:08:00 | Could somebody with a direct line to Key & Co get him to remove his "Global Warming Carbon Tax" before we all freeze to death? Ah but remember it isn't global warming anymore - it's "climate change". This explains the contradiction apparently.

2015-06-24 22:30:00 | You need to look at temp trends over the last 500 years , not look at some random blip in the average. Warmoligists will however get caught tweeking the figures to suit their theories. ;) Deniers will seem to think that 1000+ years of cutting down 90% of the earths trees will have no effect on CO2 & climate Sea temp rise is the one that we really need to look at . I dont think we have any data on that from 1000 years ago :-)

On the other hand is there any proof at all that carbon tax is in any way effective? It leaves countries and corporations trading carbon emissions like a commodity when what they should all be doing is just working to reduce it as much as possible. Climate Change is certain, it has always happened and will continue to do so. What is not certain is the extent of human influence on the climate and our ability to do anything about it, that's where the real arguments are. Using a few frosty mornings as evidence against climate change is like using your back yard as evidence the earth is flat. |

2015-06-25 02:34:00 | You need to look at temp trends over the last 500 years Why limit it to 500 years? How about the lifespan of the planet? It periodically warms and cools. We should worry more about the effects we have in other ways....planet won't care, but ourselves as a species might.
