1402681 2015-06-13 12:29:00 Yawnnnnn :sleep the apple fan boys will be jumping up and down thinking its all new tech -- Why not just use ad Block. Wonder what other spying operations Apple will incorporate.

apples-ios-9-update-will-let-you-block-ads (www.stuff.co.nz)

The company runs an advertising service called iAds within applications that run on iPhones and iPads and is unlikely to adopt a system that could damage its own revenue stream. REad suck up to apple - Selective blocking.

1402682 2015-06-13 20:31:00 That's what they are doing is allowing plugin on the mobile browser like you would on a desktop. This is only new to ios. Not to osx. I ads are what run within an app on ios much the same as I get on apps on android. So this fanboy is not jumping up and down. plod (107)

1402687 2015-06-14 03:13:00 so google android is a fail for Googles buisness model

Yeah I suppose. Androids are everywhere at very wide price points (particularly for Samsung's/ZTE's/Huawei's/and telco deals - e.g NZ Skinny, 2 Degrees), and vast range of unbranded android models. I think this will apeal to lower end/budget market users, many whom perhaps buy an android by default. IOS higher almost fixed price - and perhaps generally different demographic/incomes, and users are more active according to research. (www.forbes.com) Maybe Google see's this and goes all out with their ad platform more so on ios/Apple. And also retarget them again, with more ads.
