| 1402784 | 2015-06-18 01:56:00 | I know what you are saying there Winston "There isn't much profit in fuel" you hear that a lot, but there are a lot of petrol stations and you wouldnt be in business if you werent making money. Most petrol stations make minute profits per litre in fuel. Granted, they sell a lot of fuel, but margins are razor thin. That's why they sell smokes, pies, coffee, and the like - the petrol just gets people through the door. |

The owners told us they make most of their money from the shop and only a small amount from the fuel. Not surprising when you consider the horrendous prices at most petrol stations. It also explains why all the larger stations are more like a dairy and/or cafe inside than anything car related. Wonder how Zzz makes money with their Pay at the Pump.?? |

Sometimes along Gt Nth Rd, sometimes Swanson Rd, most recently Don Buck Rd. Now the variation is 2.02 to 2.08. Greed. If they can do it 10c cheaper for ages, then why the sudden increase? |

| 1402788 | 2015-06-19 07:40:00 | Yep, some weeks ago the price round our way was $2.129, for work I was driving half an hour away and it was $2.049 (gotta love the .009) at all the stations. (BP,Caltex and Mobil). Thats 8c difference, but I have seen a range of 20c difference once, but that may have been a station specific special, not sure. |
