1402589 2015-06-19 09:22:00 Spectacular Aircraft with quite a radical wing section ,the pilot is putting a lot of control input as there is quite a bit of aileron deflection Lawrence (2987)
1402590 2015-06-19 10:07:00 :thanks for a great post!

It was a bit disconcerting the PIC seemed more intent on heads down rather than heads up.

But that's not knowing how the 777 flight deck operates.

1402591 2015-06-19 11:11:00 Regardless of the above, we are still not presented with a true appreciation of the real angle of climb.........

Pfft. We don't even no how long the conveyor belt is. ;)

1402593 2015-06-19 21:37:00 For lovers of the 747 youtu.be

Earlier this month in Oppingen, Germany, Adi Pitz’s 747-400 scale model took off with pilot Rainer Kamitz at the controls. The largest plane Adi has ever built, it has over 2,000 hours of work into it, so we can only imagine how nervous he was!

The 747 is powered by four Hammer Engines turbines, each with a thrust of 14kg, and it’s controlled by Weatronic radio gear. The 131-pound giant has sequenced landing gear and is 17.8-feet long.

1402594 2015-06-19 23:05:00 "Models" Are getting bigger and bigger, and damn expensive. Those jets have real miniature turbine engines.

The F3D pylon Racers I flew for years had an awesome power to weight ratio, you could hold them vertical let them go or while flying pull up into a vertical climb and they would go straight up till they got out of sight within a few seconds no problems.

Trying to find a video of what a F3Dracer flying is not to easy, they are very fast and hard to video, but the following is a good example: www.youtube.com This is not sped up, they are really flying that fast and normally there's three racing at a time :D

Only got 1 model left now :(
