519985 2007-01-28 09:08:00 I am looking for a linux program to split MPEG2 video files into several pieces. The files are about 45mins long, 128*96 pixels, and about 150kbits/sec. The resulting files need to be playable on rockbox. A CLI program is preferred, but not essential.

I have already tried mpgsplit and gopchop, and while both produced playable files - rockbox couldn't play them, but it could still play the original files - indicating that something's screwy with the splitting process.

Any ideas?

519986 2007-01-28 19:28:00 mencoder is your friend, there's great how-to's on the 'Net as well as some brilliant man-pages

I'll see if I still have some of my old scripts I used to run, they may help :)

519987 2007-01-28 22:34:00 Thanks :D

Will mencoder attempt to transcode MPEG2 > MPEG2 (I don't want it to) or can it just slice them into pieces?
