| 521367 | 2007-02-01 03:15:00 | I have decided to upgrade the CPU in my gaming system. I have the choice of FX55 or Opteron 154 CPU's. Both will fit but which will be better. Foxconn NF4K8AC-8EKRS nForce skt939 Motherboard. AMD Athlon 64 3500 Manchester 939 CPU. G Skill PC3200 2x1048Mb Dual CL2 Ram. GeForce 7800GT GPU Seagate 160GB Sata 2 HD I realise the Opteron is a server chip but it has been offered to me. |

I have been trying to find a site that showed a comparison between the two chips, but as they are designed for different platforms that dosent seem to happen. My main concern was if the Opteron required a different type of mobo or ram. What will the updated cobra be like. |
