2007-01-30 07:42:00 | Hi, all of a sudden I am having trouble with our wireless network, the belkin router is connected to a adsl modem, our desktop is connected via wired lan to the wireless router and is working fine ( internet and seeing my laptop over the home network) the laptop ( connected wireless) is not able to access the web / email, it is showing as connected to the wireless network with good strength, can see our desktop and files in the shared area, skype can see who is online and it can also access the wireless router admin page over the browser ( 192.168.2.1) but it cannot access the net. any ideas please. | toddh (6125) | |
2007-01-30 07:52:00 | Do u mean when u use the browser/s only?? It doesn't work? If u do, is Zonealarm or NIS installed on any of these?

2007-01-30 08:31:00 | Umm u didn't have to post the log, as it says if you're having probs. Does NOD32 and AVG scan email?? If both do, I would either uninstall one of them or disable one of their email scanners. I would get a better firewall than Spyware Firewall, whatever this is. I've never heard of it. And I don't think this will stop attacks / hackers. Everything else looks ok tho. How is this wireless connected? In ad hoc or the other mode? And can the router accept mac addresses or other? The log u posted isn't from the laptop is it??

2007-01-30 08:46:00 | only browsing and email (outlook) can see the router ok and the rest of the home network, other pc on home network can access internet via wired connection, when selecting a page to view, i.e nzherald.co.nz it feels almost like it is trying for a few seconds before saying page cannot be displayed, it is not an instant - cannot be displayed ? | toddh (6125) | |
2007-01-30 09:20:00 | skype is working, so it is something most likely on my laptop blocking access to the net / email ? but I am not sure why this occured now when the home and work wireless networks have been working ok today. | toddh (6125) | |
2007-01-30 09:30:00 | just connected to the net using a vodafone card, suggesting the problem exists in the wireless router, although the wired lan part of the router is ok, is it possible a virus or other has changed a setting on this router ? | toddh (6125) | |
