2007-02-04 03:54:00 | thanks, well i reckon, as he said. the board was fine before. the guy left it unused for about a month. as agent24 said before, i should try a benchtop apparatus. i did. all that was connected, was the cpu, and atx power 20 +4, the on switch, the leds, and the Buzzer. The fan spun up as expected, but that was all that happened. no beeps. They guy who sold it to me gave me the invoice purchase from QMB electronics, it is possible that i could get a RMA from asus, if thier 3 year warranty applies to my board. Is that possible? I have the original Box for the MB and accesories.

2007-02-04 04:03:00 | I'm not sure if Asus will wear it if it's been on-sold, someone else may have a better idea. If he is willing, perhaps if you got the original owner to RMA it. it would be safer. | Murray P (44) | |
2007-02-04 08:04:00 | couple of things . . . does the monitor try to on? have you tried another video card, exspecially a pci video card . also the old trick of hitting reset button after power on . check the cpu hasn't come loose in the move .

2007-02-04 08:32:00 | To all you rma'ers out there.. so when i go for an RMA, do i contact asus directly? or shall i send it to QMB to deal with it. they only gave a 1yr rtb warranty. rtb means they will refund it strait away right? asus has a 3 year warranty, does it mean that after 1 year, QMB will send it to asus and i can have a replacement board? thanks, i really need that board up and running,

2007-02-04 08:44:00 | Hi, tweakd, thanks for your suggestion. I have to say, that ive practically tried everything i could think of. I even tried another 754 sempron CPU in that Asus K8n nforce3. still no luck, EVEN WITH A DIFFERENT CPU. i've even tried booting without the 4 pin atx connector, i've tried booting with pci video card, a vintage asus 3dp S3 virge. no luck. the board must be faulty somehow. and i must get a refund... hmm thanks anyways peoples.. your feedback have been truly appreciated!

2007-02-04 21:34:00 | If the board orignally came from QMB, I would try taking it back there first - I've only ever RMA'd 2 things, both of which came from supercheap and both which went back there ... Video card which took about a month to get a replacement, and a stick of ram of which I got a new one in 3 days. | Agent_24 (57) | |
