522596 2007-02-04 17:19:00 A week ago I switched to Xnet
I signed up for their "FLOOD" plan.
Full speed up and down.

The changeover was painless. And am constantly downloading at 3200/3300. I'm happy with that even though I was getting that speed six months ago with a 3.5 plan.

But uploads are still 134kbps. I phone Xnet three times a day and every time I get the response , "Telecom are working on it".
How long do Telecom need?

Think I might increase my phone calls to four a day.

522597 2007-02-04 18:57:00 What does it say in your router for the upload connection speed? CYaBro (73)
522598 2007-02-04 19:08:00 I'm also on Xnet's Flood plan and like you I found that although the download speed was good (6.5mbps) the upload was only reaching about 128kbps, so obviously it was still being throttled.

Rung them and they said they had to get telecom to "flick the switch"? Next day the upload increased to about 520kbps.

Still think thats its being throttled though as it is that speed at anytime of day and with every speedtest site. I was expecting to get at least half of what my download speed is for the upload speed.

????? As far as I can see it says nothing about speed.

522600 2007-02-04 20:00:00 Just go into your router settings through your browser and look around. For my router it is on the home page settings.

522601 2007-02-04 20:09:00 Have a look for a "adsl status" tab or something similar. Should be in there.
What kind of router is it?

Where do I look? You'll possibly have an icon in your Task Notification area (right-hand lower corner of your monitor). By hovering your mouse pointer over it it should give you some information. If not, click it and/or right-click it to see further options and information.

The icon looks a bit like two monitors.

If you don't have that, then go Start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options. From there follow your nose. Need more info? Post back here again.

ps: You'll never get 3+Mb upload speed. Not at this time anyway. I think the max is around 512Kb/s.
