522559 2007-02-04 05:34:00 hey i need some help last night i uninstalled all my games and tryed to reinstall one of them and then it came up with "D:\setup.exe is not a valid win32 application" i tryed to install some of my other games and it always comes up with the samething "D:\setup.exe is not a valid win32 application". It seems that it isnt reading the setup or something or something like that, any help would be great:). ACKS (11537)
522560 2007-02-04 05:40:00 If D is a cd which I take it is, its most probably scratched or damaged.

Or the files on it are corrupt.

522561 2007-02-04 06:03:00 thats dosnt sound right the cds are almost new got them like a month ago,i was thinking it has something to do with the drivers because i tested a few of my data discs and all the files work but the setup files. ACKS (11537)
522562 2007-02-04 06:06:00 Well its either the cds or the cdrom itself.

Or you're infected with something thats screwing up exe files.

I take it other exe files work?

Get the file in my sig below, we''ll see if u have anything nasty.

Were these setup.exe files already on CD, or did you download them and burn them to CD?

You could also try copying the contents of the CD to the hard drive and then running the install from there, that will narrow the problem down anyway.

522568 2007-02-04 09:33:00 Try changing the IDE cable going to this cd in the case.

It maybe stuffed or worn out or something.

What else is connected to this cd rom inside the case?

And whats it set as ? Master or Slave?
