| 523803 | 2007-02-08 07:43:00 | Hi all My boot sector had become cluttered with links to dead o/S and I was having to go through 3 or 4 stages to get to my preferred O/S, So I decided to do a fixmbr to purge all the crap, unfortunately since then i can no longer boot I keep getting Error loading operating system The other thing is that when i go nto the recovery console it tells me my Win2K installation (of 3 years) is on K: rather than C:, any help would be greatly appreciated as I need my system back up |

What I thought I would do is remove the XP drive and just have Vista as the sole drive. To do this however, I do not think I will have an MBR or boot mechanism to allow Vista to boot on its own as C: |
