2007-02-08 07:38:00 Have you installed any new video editing software/games/programs with videos lately? bob_doe_nz (92)
2007-02-08 08:09:00 i installed Nimo50Build7 a while ago, i can't remember if that caused the problem but it may have, i've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it to no affect Jimmy D (2061)

2007-02-08 08:57:00 thanks, i'll give vlc a go. oh i failed 2 mention that playing the same videos with winamp also causes a crash Jimmy D (2061)
2007-02-08 09:01:00 codec problem. that what you get from installing some codec packs. even tho you uninstalled it some codecs do not uninstall.

i like zoomplayer, it has built in tools for registering/deregisting codecs and has heaps of goos advice about what codecs to use. http://www.inmatrix.com/
