523588 2007-02-07 22:46:00 Hi all. I've just upgraded to Windows Vista. The problem I have now is the installation of the Intel INF driver.

This driver is for the motherboard that I am using - MSI 945P Neo-F and I was directed by MSI's website to download the Vista version of Intel INF driver, as taken from here:

www.msi.com.tw

However, when I tried to install it, Vista came up with an error message saying:

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will exit."

What the hell? MSI specifically says this is for 945P/945G/955X/965/975 Chipsets, and I have the 945P and Vista.

Is this driver necessary at all? Because my computer runs sweet as without it right now.

Please get back as soon as you can. I want to have a fully operational and 100% system. Cheers!

523589 2007-02-07 23:18:00 They're the mobo drivers and they are needed .

So things work properly and the system is stable .

Since yours has an F in it, you sure this ( . msi . com . tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_detail . php?UID=707&kind=1" target="_blank">www . msi . com . tw) isn't the one you want?

Altho the drivers look exactly the same as the link u gave .

I would send MSI an email, if neither work .

523590 2007-02-08 00:36:00 That one is Neo2-F. Mine is Neo-F. I think Neo and Neo-F models are the same. Even pricespy lists Neo-Fs under Neo.

At the moment, my system is just fine without the driver. Can anyone help me please?

Oh, and I have emailed MSI. No replies, though.

523591 2007-02-08 08:20:00 Can anyone confirm if I need the Intel INF driver? Because my system works pretty fine without it installed at the moment. Haven't tried gaming, though.

And if yes, does anybody know what I need to download lol?
