| 523975 | 2007-02-08 21:30:00 | Is there noise on your line (when you pick up the phone, is there a lot of white noise, or any other noises apart from the dial tone)? If you have got a noisy line, Telecom will fix it (I had them out 3 time to my new house, every time except the last they said there was nothing wrong, but I could harldy hold a phone conversation - last guy fixed it and it's perfect now - bband speed back to normal) Are you running through a phone extension cord? It could be damaged or introducing noise. Do you have access to another modem to try? |

| 523977 | 2007-02-08 23:37:00 | disconnect all other telephony devices from your house system then try.....if it works ok then you have begun to locate the problem, (bad phone perhaps).....make suer you are hooking the pc DIRECT to the wall socket NOT thru any adaptors/double plugs/extensions.......also try the pc in other sockets...and call telcom 123 or 124 and get em to run a line test.... | drcspy (146) | ||
