524243 2007-02-15 06:41:00 Looks like those of you who use xp and such will have to download these updates as microsoft has found some more flaws.

I have clicked on my update button three time and because im running vista it says i dont need it cause im fully up to date without requiring these latest security updates.

I told you Vista was more secure.

heres the article.

Next thing you will be telling me that Sky TV is transmitting in HD :-)

524245 2007-02-15 06:47:00 Yes i will be telling you that in 2008 cause it will be transmitting then they have already made that announcement in a few media releases late last year.

Where have you been.

524246 2007-02-15 06:59:00 So, Vista IS more secure. (Where can I buy Vista for $10? :D) pcuser42 (130)
524247 2007-02-15 07:24:00 Yes i read that too but you misread it those copies were pirated by obviously using a dvd writer and still no one has cracked vista yet. Hitech (9024)

Wrong, it has been.

524249 2007-02-15 08:23:00 I know its been done in more than one way.

Vista is *MORE* secure, but not *TOTALLY* secure... I mean heck, its an improvement, but not all that much. But this thread is on how Vista looks, and not on how secure it is. Looks nicer? Yes! More fluff that nobody really needs that only slows down the OS as a whole and beefing up the minimum sys requirements meaning less people can run it? Yes! Can linux / mac do better on less resources? Yes!

524250 2007-02-15 08:45:00 Microsoft Vista Has Enormous Gaping Hole ( . theinquirer . net/default . aspx?article=37619" target="_blank">www . theinquirer . net) .

Well kinda, a slight whiff of desperation to that one, but not bad going this early on .

What I liked the most though, is the all-in-one admission/retraction/denial/design choice (aka a security "FEATURE")
They're burning rubber with their spin .

Shouldn't be too harsh though, you'll be ok with Onekare and Windows Defender ( . theinquirer . net/default . aspx?article=37629" target="_blank">www . theinquirer . net) doing it's bit in typical fashion to keep the spooks at bay . Ok, so I told a little fib . . . . now listen verrry carefully, that MS rated critical flaw affects VISTA too .
