| 525209 | 2007-02-16 18:08:00 | so, just recently my monitor (or graphics card) has been displaying all these random fizzely colours. it's like the entire screen is full of random coloured pixels, it goes away after a few hours... * i know that it isn't malware. i have the problem on all partitions of my hard drive (running linux at the moment and the problem is there) -- as well, i have done a full audit of my system using packages such as: spybot, adaware and avg. * my graphics driver is up to date. * i tried switching vga cables. i can't think of what the problem could possibly be. any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| 525211 | 2007-02-16 21:10:00 | Have you tried a different monitor? Plugging in a different unit may give you more directions as to which is the culprit. If the stand in monitor has the same issue then that would point to the graphics card as being the guilty party, obviously if the stand in monitor display the picture fine then your monitor is buggered. Hope that helps a bit. FYI - it would be good if you posted your system specs, would be good to know what sort of hardware we're dealing with as well. Cheers chiefnz |

| 525213 | 2007-02-16 23:22:00 | Degause. We had funny colors on screen with a old CRT which didn't had that function when we got a new one we placed closely and degaussed it .. then it came back after a day ..., at the end it was just too old so we just replaced it with a flatscreen CRT. That other CRT was returned as it was shaking even after we tried a few samples. Edit. Try on diff computer or a laptop old or new .. see if the colors still come .. |
