525841 2007-02-19 17:57:00 I'm in battle with Microsoft NZ.

For once, MS have given birth to a really first class web design program. Microsoft Expression Web has been available in the USA since early December.

The trial version runs out in a week. MS tell me it's available in NZ. I don't believe them.

Does anyone know where I can get it?

Amazon are not allowed to sell it to the colonies. Big Brother is watching.

I've spoken to MS on their 0800 number and been given different answers.

A month or two ago I was told mid year.

10 minutes ago I was told by "Gavin" at MS that all MS products are delayed by 8 months for release in NZ. I don't think he's been paying attention. Vista? Office 2007?

This morning I received an email from "Christyne" at MS informing me that it is available in NZ and that I just need to find another retailer.

It's just unbelievable.

I was about to switch from FrontPage to Dreamweaver when the beta for Expression Web was released - it's so good that I haven't started on the Dreamweaver learning curve. Looks like I'll have to revisit that strategy.

Thanks Somebody, I'll try your link right now.

Thanks for that,

I actually checked Ascent early this morning, it didn't show up on a site search and it's not listed in their Software section.

Why would they hide it under Hardware! Hard ware to afford maybe :).

The good news for me and anyone saddled with any version of FrontPage is that Ascent can order the Upgrade version for $194. It's still a ripoff compared to US pricing but it's worth every penny.

For once M$ have produced some seriously good software.
