| 525415 | 2007-02-17 23:00:00 | How do I change a text boot to a GUI boot in Suse 10.2. | kjaada (253) | ||
| 525416 | 2007-02-18 08:05:00 | No doubt there is a setting to do this in the GUI - but this will work: Open any text editor with root priviledges and edit the text file /etc/inittab. There will be a section like this: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ # Default runlevel. The runlevels used by RHS are: # 0 - halt (Do NOT set initdefault to this) # 1 - Single user mode # 2 - Multiuser, without NFS (The same as 3, if you do not have networking) # 3 - Full multiuser mode # 4 - unused # 5 - X11 # 6 - reboot (Do NOT set initdefault to this) # id:5:initdefault: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You last line will be id:3:initdefault: Change the 3 to a 5 and save. |
