| 525537 | 2007-02-18 08:51:00 | I need to be able to set up a search ability in a website written in HTML/javascript so that an excel file can be searched i can seach in any one or more of three columns. I can write html but I am very limited in javascript. Anyone able to assist with a script? TFYH Regards GrahamB |

| 525539 | 2007-02-24 10:08:00 | I think you may be out of luck if you want to use something other than IE for looking at the website. I did a search and found this (forums.devarticles.com), which is typical of the solutions out there. Unfortunately it uses ActiveX, which won't work if the user's security settings are set to paranoid. :dogeye: AFAIK, JavaScript has very limited (or no) file support, so you may have to re-think your approach. |
