| 527197 | 2007-02-22 19:24:00 | Hi Guys, today i got this email from XTRA . Have a read i think xtra is being xtra nice . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . An important update on the Xtra Broadband Go Large plan As you may be aware, Xtra's Go Large Broadband plan has a traffic management policy . An error on our part has meant that since 8 December 2006 we have been managing more types of traffic than our traffic management policy for Go Large stated . We would like to apologise for this and credit you for the monthly plan charges incurred from 8 December 2006 to the end of February 2007 . We have updated the traffic management policy so that it accurately reflects the way we are managing broadband traffic on the Go Large plan . You can find a copy of our updated Traffic Management Policy and information on this issue at www . xtra . co . nz/golarge Like many Go Large customers you may be happy with the service you have received and will not have noticed any problems . However, to acknowledge this mistake we wanted to get in touch with you as soon as possible to give you a one-off credit . If you're happy to stay on Go Large with the amended traffic management policy, you don't need to do a thing and you will still automatically receive the credit . If you're not satisfied with the current performance of your Go Large plan the other options available to you are: 1 . Change to a different Xtra Broadband plan If you wish you can change to any of our other broadband plans - you will not be charged any fees for doing so . To view our plan options please visit www . xtra . co . nz/broadband or call us on 127 . If you decide to change your plan please visit www . xtra . co . nz/changeplan (please have your Telecom account number handy) . 2 . Cancel your current service If you are not satisfied with the options above you can choose to cancel your Xtra Broadband account . If you are on a 12 month term contract no early termination fees will apply . What happens next? Whichever option you choose, your refund will be automatically credited to your March or April Telecom bill . You will find it listed as "Xtra Broadband Go Large Credit" under the changes to previous balance section of your bill . This credit will cover the monthly plan charge for the Go Large plan for the applicable time you had this service between 8 December 2006 and the end of February 2007 . Again we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this problem may have caused . Kind regards] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What do you guys think . Is it time to quit xtra go large,since theyre offering no early termination fees? or stick to it and see if they have really improved . |

| 527200 | 2007-02-22 20:46:00 | The price for the other plans are just retarded. 40bucks for 1gig, who wants that? And - don't forget - you still have to put up with Xtra. (If you are into SM, that could be the only good point.) Are they now going to deny that they used to deny there were problems? |

Many suburban and rural areas will be worse off as it won't be an attractive investment investing in low density areas. The government are going to have to put their money where there mouth is and invest in new infrastructure in lower density areas, otherwise they will be left behind . |
