| 527016 | 2007-02-22 02:32:00 | My computer died this week and despite being told countless times to have a back up, of course I didn't so you can all berate me! The data is recoverable, and hopefully the contents of Outlook, but I have a small problem with setting up my email accounts and I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. I've successfully set up my Paradise and Xtra accounts, but I also have two through Horde and (of course) the incoming mail server details are in an as-yet-to-be-recovered email. I know my log-on names and passwords, but I just don't know the incoming server details (as in pop3.xtra.co.nz, etc). If anyone here uses Horde as their mail server and can give me these details, I'd greatly appreciate it. I can access them online, but would appreciate them landing in my inbox as they arrive. |

| 527018 | 2007-02-22 02:45:00 | Thanks, Stu, yes it is for a domain name and in the meantime (should have thought of it before...) I Googled Horde and found the format to set up the accounts and they are now working fine! It was in the format of mail.mydomain.co.nz and then the usernames were my full domain name email addresses and the passwords associated with that. Sorry for clogging the board with a useless post...! |

| 527020 | 2007-02-22 03:06:00 | I had sent an email to the guy who hosts my website as well, but he works and I was expecting to hear back from him tonight. It was only when I looked at one of those websites that the format mail.etc rang a bell! I had to try a few variations at the end to get it to work, but it's all fine now. And I SO don't miss my scummy PC Company computer! The new one is so quiet I thought it wasn't working when I plugged it in! I would have preferred not to have to spend money I didn't have, but the difference is amazing. |
