526686 2007-02-21 05:00:00 Hoping someone can help out.

After several hours, my internet speed (while using certain download managers) seems to drop-off. The only fix is to re-boot the router.

This performance drop happens as frequently as every 2 - 3 hours.

Question(s);
1. Is there a way to prevent this...?
2. Is there an automated way (via a batch file or likewise) I can schedule periodic re-booting of the router.

Appreciation in advance.

526687 2007-02-21 05:24:00 Personally and many others will agree that the 302g is absolute CRAP, I ditched mine and got a Linksys WAG54G, never had a problem with it :thumbs:

The only way to reboot the 302g is pull out the power plug right? well can you write a .bat to do that? ;)

526688 2007-02-22 07:51:00 Yeah, I have heard they're crap...... that much I did know.

The router can be re-booted via the config page (10.1.1.1) - should have been clear that that was what I was hoping to find a way of automating....

526690 2007-02-22 08:06:00 I had similar issues. My solution was another router. They're just bad news... Chilling_Silence (9)
526691 2007-02-22 08:44:00 I use a 302G with the notebook. It works perfectly fine for us. To disconnect and re-connect it we just right-click the icon in the task notification area and click disable, then re-enable under Network Connections which we have a shortcut for in the quick-launch bar. 526692 2007-02-22 19:18:00 I was thinking about getting a wireless router instead so I can put my computers in separate rooms, ditching the 302g. Any suggestions, I want something affordable and liable. msnforum (11610)
