2007-02-21 01:53:00 When I insert a USB memory device in my XP SP2 computer I get a dialog that gives options according to the type of files on the device. At the bottom of the device is a checkbox that says "Always do the selected action". I have a USB drive that always tries to import pictures so I presume that option has been checked at some stage. How do I get back to it asking me what I want to do? maccavity (11909)
2007-02-21 03:12:00 Go into My Computer, right-click the USB drive and select the Autorun tab. Select "Ask me what to do every time". pcuser42 (130)
2007-02-21 03:37:00 Thanks. I have done that with no difference, any other ideas? maccavity (11909)
2007-02-21 22:41:00 You have to go through all the 3 or 4 options in the Autorun dialog drop-down and set them all to what you want...IOW, not just the one you see when the dialog opens.

2007-02-21 23:44:00 Do you have Kodak easyshare software on your machine? That invasive peice of c**p caused me all kinds of problems and it's a bugger to get rid of. JackStraw (6573)
