When I insert a USB memory device in my XP SP2 computer I get a dialog that gives options according to the type of files on the device. At the bottom of the device is a checkbox that says "Always do the selected action". I have a USB drive that always tries to import pictures so I presume that option has been checked at some stage. How do I get back to it asking me what I want to do? |

Go into My Computer, right-click the USB drive and select the Autorun tab. Select "Ask me what to do every time". |

You have to go through all the 3 or 4 options in the Autorun dialog drop-down and set them all to what you want...IOW, not just the one you see when the dialog opens.

Do you have Kodak easyshare software on your machine? That invasive peice of c**p caused me all kinds of problems and it's a bugger to get rid of. |
