526634 2007-02-21 16:59:00 If you like just turn uac off alltogether i have and no pros at all besides i have three firewalls running and three spyware progs as well.

Don't you think it would be easier to get rid of spyware etc. than to run numerous "anti" programs?

526637 2007-02-22 07:50:00 Yip three one on the router one on Microsoft trial version of one care, and windows defender and everything works fine. Hitech (9024)
526638 2007-02-22 07:54:00 Ah! That's ok then. I thought you might run in to conflicts if you had three firewalls loaded on the same machine. Murray P (44)
526639 2007-02-22 07:58:00 Murray how much ram do you run and what is your processor speed on your pc. Hitech (9024)

A bit forward ain't ya, eh!

On this machine I have 512mb with an 1800+, running win2k and Mepis (Linux).

The ram is more than adequate for both OSs, though can chug a bit if I get a bit enthusiastic with the number of images I have open at anyone time (image editing being the only ram hungry thing I get in to).

Plan a new system later in the year, but see no reason to retire this one entirely for business purposes, though might pop a further Gig of ram in. Gee, I might even give Vista 64 a bash if it's sorted to my liking by then.
