527217 2007-02-22 20:03:00 Is Telecom's Go Large refund enough? Leave your comment in our blog section here (blogs.pcworld.co.nz) and be in to win a copy of Microsoft Flight Sim X. Chris Keall (10417)
527218 2007-02-22 20:31:00 Of course it isn't. Just more lame responses from them after the Commerce Commision stepped in. pctek (84)

That probably didn't make much difference. TC would have had to do what they have done anyway, Gattung wouldn't have been able to stand in the way of the Commerce Comission

527221 2007-02-23 06:03:00 Why celebrate?

I know some who were on Go Large and due to these problems, switched. Are they entitled to a refund, of course not but I'm sure they're not worried, their stress levels came normal when they left that plan.

Maybe customers of Go Large should accept the refund and switch, that's what I would do if I were with them.

Cheers,

KK

527223 2007-02-23 08:20:00 Hell no. A mere 3 months' worth of free internet will not equal to what I will still be paying for. Sure, I can change ISPs - but that means headache for me. I expect Telecom to have delivered their promise in the first place. qazwsxokmijn (102)
527224 2007-02-23 10:40:00 We live in the country and our local cabling is pretty crappy so I was told we would be lucky to get anything faster than 12 times dialup. And they were right! Sometimes it isn't much faster than dialup at all, but there's nothing we can do about it except move or pay megabucks for wireless.

The phone line regularly cuts out if we've had heaps of rain and every time I call, despite the notes on our file that must run to several pages now, I get the same story - "have you done this, checked that, stood on your head and whistled Dixie?" and "if we send someone out - which won't be until tomorrow at the earliest - and it is a fault on YOUR equipment, you WILL be charged" - they have come out here about a dozen times and every single time it has been either a problem with their cabling or the exchange. Pathetic! We only got broadband after the local school got it.

527225 2007-02-24 04:05:00 So here is whats coming.
The other IPs will at some point go the goverment and say provide some cash for the line upgrade that is now required.

You want overseas corprates operating here.
Then they really need to look at investing more cash.
