527730 2007-02-24 12:27:00 2.0.0.2 provides security fixes and fixes some Vista computability issues.

Read the release note for Vista workarounds for issues such as FF not being invoked even if it is set as the default browser.

527732 2007-02-24 12:56:00 Now that I have installed this update it seems that clicking on an eMail login box no longer automatically inputs the password.

True for Hotmail, Mail Com and Yahoo, so far in my case.

Was working fine until I updated.

Get the update anyway Laura, there are some security issues which are corrected, but yes the others bits and bobs won't bother the more astute such as yourself .

zqwerty, there may be a new setting or one changed to a default setting in the FF options . My guess would be under Security or Advanced .

527735 2007-02-24 13:31:00 There's absolutely nothing to be concerned about Laura, I assure you I am completely harmless.... or is that clueless :D Murray P (44)
527736 2007-02-24 15:48:00 I got 2.0.0.2 automatically just a few minutes ago..it happened all by itself...like Topsy! SurferJoe46 (51)
527737 2007-02-24 19:02:00 Am I correct in saying Firefox 2 is still not complete and perhaps still a beta version? I have Firefox 1.5 with the latest update; updating to Firefox 2 may mean that some extensions will not work.

Also, is there much difference with Firefox 2 in terms of general user friendliness, appearance?

527738 2007-02-24 19:16:00 The updates are more streamlined in FF2, and is closer to passing the Acid test. pcuser42 (130)

...as I understand it, this update is primarily for security reasons..and NO...since I got it (two computers so far) I have not lost any of my extensions and themes and stuff...

So...I say it's all good so far.
