1411743 2015-11-22 22:32:00 I have got a 8GB flash drive which works perfectly when I plug it in to my Win8 machine but when it is plugged in to a Win7 machine, a warning window pops up:

"Do you want to scan and fix APACER8 (G:)?
There might be a problem with some files on this device or disc. This can happen if you remove the device or disc before all the files have been written to it.

-> Scan and fix (recommended)
This will prevent future problems when copying files to this device or disc.

-> Continue without scanning. "

I tried to click the first option, i.e. to scan and fix but it found no errors; when the second option is clicked, it works perfectly, no errors.

The above happens with every Win7 machine but it is OK with Win8 machines.

Any explanation to this?

1411744 2015-11-23 00:25:00 I don't know the explanation, but I find it's fairly common when moving between PC's. Usually a scan is quick, finds nothing, and shuts the message up.
Never noticed if it was between particular OS versions when it occurs but I think it's happened to me on 8 & 10 as well. I think moving from Linux to windows 7 has triggered this response for me in the past also.

Works in everything else except my win7 gaming system & that is the only one that has usb3 on it.

........what, ignore stuttering ??

Are you doing the 'nice' disconnect via the icon in the corner, or just pulling the USB drive out whenever.
You may need admin rights to do the scandisk/chkdisk on it,
run cmd with admin rights (right click, run as admin) ,
then
chkdsk E: /f
(E: being whatever the flashdrive is seen as)

or just reformat the flashdrive if it keeps poping up (might help)

1411749 2015-11-23 05:18:00 You cant install Windows in win7 if you use a USB3 port, unless you add a driver. During the install.

If that's what you mean Driftwood. You have to use a USB 2 port
